스트레인 게이지 측정값

스트레인 게이지에서 측정하는 값은 공칭 변형율 (engineering or nominal strain) 이다. 

진변형율 (true strain) 이 아니다. 물론 간단한 수식을 통해 쉽게 진변형율로 변경될 수 있다. 그러나 5% 이하 (50000 x e-6) 의 변형율에서는 두 값이 크게 차이가 나지는 않는다.
